Chassis and shells
Magnesium alloy cores where stiffness matters, polycarbonate shells elsewhere. Both are chosen partly because they survive a drop onto a bathroom floor, which is the real-world load case nobody tests for.
Cutting surfaces
Carbon steel, ground rather than stamped, sold as matched sets because foils and cutters wear into each other.
End of life
A take-back programme for worn blade sets and dead batteries is in preparation. It is not live yet, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.
